The Commission of Doddridge County, West Virginia recognized that fundamental changes were needed in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system and worked to implement an innovative system design that would provide Advanced Life Support services for the county. The Doddridge County Commission created the Doddridge County Ambulance Authority and on October 1st, 2010 the County of Doddridge granted the DCAA the authority to provide primary 911 services to the citizens of Doddridge.
Since its inception, the goal for the Doddridge County Ambulance Authority (DCAA) has been to provide its community with clinical excellence, while ensuring response time reliability and fiscal responsibility.
Through leadership, support, and regulation, the DCAA ensures the development and maintenance of a high quality Emergency Medical Service delivery system for Doddridge County. Its primary focus is to reduce both human suffering and economic loss from premature death and disability resulting from sudden illness or injury.
