Doddridge County Office of Emergency Management (OEM)/Floodplain:

The Doddridge County Office of Emergency Management Director plans, organizes and directs the activities of Doddridge County and cooperating agencies’ response to disasters and emergencies; assists in planning, formulating, updating, and maintaining the Doddridge County Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), the Doddridge County Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP), the Doddridge County Training and Exercise Plan (TEP), and the Doddridge County Threat Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) program; coordinates and manages emergency operations of the County and cooperating agencies; assists the County and coordinating agencies in the performance of a variety of activities in the areas of prevention/mitigation, safety, preparedness, response, recovery, loss control, plan formulation and exercises, in compliance with WV State Code Chapter 15-5, and under authorities granted by the Doddridge County Commission.

The Doddridge County Floodplain Manager is the principal community administrator in the daily implementation of Doddridge County flood loss reduction activities including enforcing the communities flood damage prevention ordinance, updating flood maps, plans, and policies of the community, and any of the activities related to administration of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
